We watched the world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class unfold this morning. Put simply, it was everything we -- and everyone else -- hoped for, and so much more.

"With a new model for 2017, the E-Class wagon continues as the only one available in its class," touts David Gluckman, an Editorial Program Manager at Autoblog. "It also has a rear-facing bench seat. And if you get the right package, you can kick your foot below the rear bumper to open the hatch. That's about all we need in a vehicle."

The wagon isn't set to arrive until next year, but here's what you can look forward to: a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 good for 329 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Also standard is the third-row bench seat -- as Gluckman mentioned above -- and a layout that is fit to accommodate seven passengers.

Currently in the market for a new Mercedes and can't wait for the wagon to arrive? Come visit our showroom for a test drive. We have plenty of options available.
